The Mario Baseball League is a baseball league with teams of Nintendo characters competing to win the Mario Series, as part of the Mario Luigi Sports Committee. It has existed since 2000. In 2003, it expanded to 24 teams and 6 divisions, mirroring the Nintendo Football League in its conference and division format. In 2014, the league underwent a giant overhaul, expanding to 32 teams, while going back to 4 divisions. The league further expanded in 2022 to 36 teams.

The Mario Baseball League added the Mario Trophy starting in the 2014 season, which will be awarded to the team with the best record during the regular season. It mirrors the Bowser Trophy in the Koopa Hockey League.
